If you are in direct sales, you are probably posting to several social media channels everyday. Do you make your own graphics, or do you use corporate images? Or maybe you use teammate’s graphics? Or even images watermarked by others?
I’m going to tell you why you should make your own graphics!
For example, say you are a LuLaRoe retailer, like me. There are close to 80,000 of us. If we all share the same images from corporate, none of us stand out to our customers! If I share a “borrowed,” watermarked graphic or picture from another retailer, I am practically asking my customers to follow the watermark to the creator. Obviously she is rocking her business by being creative and unique.
If you make your own graphics, you are able to brand yourself rather than your company. Your customers will begin to recognize your branding in your graphics, and you will stand out from the crowd. For example, my branding colors are aqua, pink, and gold, with touches of lime green. Every graphic I share in my VIP group and on Instagram matches my branding, and my customers recognize them when scrolling.
Another benefit of making your own graphics is that you can show your own personality. This is especially great for engagement posts, and funny or motivating quotes. Once you decide on an overall look, you can make templates using a program such as Picmonkey, which makes batching graphics easy!
